From 28-30 May 2021, the Tallinn Literary Festival HeadRead will take place. You can read more about the festival and the programme HERE. We would like to draw your attention to the walks in particular.

This year’s walks are limited to the Old Town. Still, we are pleased to introduce our literary walk guide, literary scholar Elle-Mari Talivee (1974), a senior researcher at the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre. She has looked at several Estonian literary classics, e.g. A. H. Tammsaare or Eduard Vilde, in relation to Tallinn’s urban space but also, for example, the connections between Estonian writers and public transport.

We also offer the tour in Russian led by journalist and local historian Josef Kats. Both Talivee’s and Kats’ walks will take place on Saturday and Sunday, May 29 and 30 at 13:00, starting in front of the Writers’ House (Harju 1). You can register by writing to retk@headread.ee.
