An international conference with a focus on the Baltic region as narrative space and lifeworld

At the conference, Under and Tuglas Literature Centre academic secretary Maris Jänes and Tallinn University German cultural history and literature Associate Professor Maris Saagpakk will give a presentation on the topic “Reflections of the multilinguality of the historical Baltic region in Edzard Schaper`s novel “The Executioner” and its mediation through translations into Estonian”.

On 17-19 September 2020 an international conference will be held entitled Baltische Erzähl- und Lebenswelten. Kultur-, literatur-, translations- und sprachwissenschaftliche Aspekte / The Baltic region as a narrative space and lifeworld. Cultural, literary, translation and linguistic aspects.

The conference is organised by the German language and culture specialisation of Tallinn University`s humanities institute in cooperation with the universities of Marburg, Kaunas and Daugavpils.
