This series was initiated at the end of 1980s with the publication of the proceedings of the first conferences on topics of national literature and nationalism. To date, the series, which consists of more than 20 volumes, has focused particularly on literary history, including monographs on specific authors and edited collections of conference proceedings. The latter also includes overviews of the international seminars and conferences organised by the Literature Centre. The seriesʼ first publications were booklets on individual Estonian exile writers, which were later put together and issued in a single, thoroughly edited volume.
