On 17 February the television program Plekktrumm marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jaan Kross, which is on 19 February. From an international perspective Kross is one of the best known and most translated Estonian authors, in whose works individuals who have influenced Estonian history hold a significant place. How might Jaan Kross inspire today`s readers?
Plekktrumm`s guest this week is Jaan Undusk, literary scholar and director of the Literature Centre, whose play based on Kross` youth will open soon at the Estonian Drama Theatre.
