The early works of Alma Ostra and Sophia Vardi

On 21 March at 14.00, you are warmly invited to a seminar at the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre where Merlin Kirikal’s article manuscript will be discussed.

The article, tentatively titled „Gender debates in the early 20th-century Estonian literature: the oeuvre of Sophia Vardi and Alma Ostra“ is intended for publication in the special Decadence-themed issue of the journal Methis in autumn 2025. The author welcomes critical feedback.

The manuscript will be sent only to registered participants no later than three days before the seminar.

The seminar will take place at the Estonian Academy of Sciences (Kohtu 6, Tallinn) on 21 March at 14.00 and requires prior registration. We will gather in the attic. To participate, please notify Merlin Kirikal (merlinkirikal@gmail.com).
