On 19–22 June 2022, the 9th Nordic Geographers’ Conference (NGM) was held in Joensuu, North Karelia.

Elle-Mari Talivee, a senior researcher at the Under and Tuglas Literature Centre of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, attended the large conference held at the University of Eastern Finland as a literary explorer, who in the presentation “Winged geographies of literature and citizen science” talked about the common features of children’s literature and amateur science in mapping the world. It was also a good opportunity to introduce to the international scientific community the Horizon 2020 project “Envirocitizen – Citizen Science for Environmental Citizenship” in which, with the participation of the Literature Centre,  green citizen science is studied from the point of view of environmental humanities. The preliminary research results of the project were also presented.
